DevOps Engineer - 28336

Location: On-site in Fort Meade, Maryland, at the customer site five days a week. U.S. Citizenship and a current TS/SCI security clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph are required.

Salary: $55.23–$128.52 per hour, before benefits.

What you will do

• Support development and deployment of AWS cloud infrastructure, especially EKS.
• Develop and maintain non-cloud edge infrastructure on on-premise and portable equipment.
• Automate deployments and manage Kubernetes containers and AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems while improving availability, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Explore new technologies and improve infrastructure processes and tooling.

Requirements

• Current TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. Citizenship are required.
• 5+ years of DevOps Engineering or software development experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and a relevant master’s degree or high school diploma.
• Ability to work onsite at the Fort Meade, Maryland, customer site five days per week and accommodate schedule changes.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms and AWS services including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Linux system administration, application and container deployment, and scaling.
• Programming experience with Python, Bash, or Go; familiarity with Git, Flux, terminal-based environments, Agile methodologies, and engineering team leadership or mentoring.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
• Additional experience with containers, EKS, Diode, CI/CD, or Terraform.
