DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Onsite at the customer site in San Antonio, Texas, United States, five days a week

Salary: $100,173–$135,000 per year; $20,000 sign-on bonus

What you will do

• Develop and deploy cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS, as well as on-premise and portable edge infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes and improve service reliability, scalability, availability, and performance.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS infrastructure, including monitoring and production troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Improve infrastructure processes and tools while evaluating new technologies.
• Provide hands-on technical execution, mentorship, and team guidance.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance, U.S. citizenship, and willingness to obtain TS/SCI clearance are required.
• At least 5 years of DevOps engineering or software development experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent education and experience combination.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS services such as EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda, and infrastructure deployment and management.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Linux system administration, and terminal-based environments.
• Programming experience with Python, Bash, or Go, plus familiarity with Git, Flux, CI/CD, and software deployment tools.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues and serving as a technical lead, mentor, or engineering manager.

Nice to have

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
• Additional experience with containers, EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform.
