Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: On-site five days per week in Hanover, Maryland, or Columbia, Maryland, with occasional work-from-home flexibility.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Support the development and deployment of AWS infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes and improve service reliability, scalability, and availability.
• Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and operating systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Continuously improve infrastructure tools and operational processes.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be able to work on-site five days per week in Hanover, MD, or Columbia, MD.
• 9+ years of DevOps engineering or software development experience with a related bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Knowledge of AWS services, application and OS deployment, scaling, Git, Python, Bash, or Go; DoD 8140/8570 compliance certification such as Security+ is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
• Experience with EKS, containers, CI/CD, or Terraform.
