DevOps Engineer - AWS/Ansible/Linux/Python

Location: Columbia, MD; must work on the customer site 4–5 days per week

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Support development and deployment of AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and deploy non-cloud edge infrastructure for on-premise and portable equipment.
• Automate deployment processes and improve service reliability, scalability, availability, and performance.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and continuously improve infrastructure tools.

Requirements

• Current TS/SCI with Polygraph U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• 5+ years of DevOps engineering or software development experience with a related bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet, and knowledge of AWS services including EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go; familiarity with Git and standard software development tools.
• Must obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire and work on the customer site in Columbia, MD 4–5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
• Experience with EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform.
• Availability for occasional on-call work.
