DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Mostly remote with 1–2 required onsite visits per month in the DC Metro, Virginia, or Baltimore area; occasional weekend support is required.

hirify.global provides DevOps engineering support for a major healthcare insurance payor.

What you will do

• Implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
• Perform application release deployments across test and production environments.
• Develop and maintain Python, Bash, and Groovy automation scripts.
• Support AWS cloud infrastructure, including EKS, VPC, EC2, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Manage Linux and Windows production environments and container orchestration with Kubernetes and Podman.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, software, and quality teams on scalability, performance, reliability, change management, and CAB activities.

Requirements

• Five years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree, or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Advanced understanding of CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins with Groovy.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS, AWS managed services, and CloudWatch.
• Scripting experience with Bash and Python, plus Git and microservice concepts.
• Experience maintaining Java web applications with Spring Boot, strong communication skills, and availability for approximately one Saturday of support per month.

• AI experience.
