Legal Operations Financial, Data & AI Analytics Intern (AI)

Location: Hybrid in St. Louis, Missouri — three days per week in the office and two days remotely. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require current or future employment sponsorship.

Compensation: $24.00–$25.00 per hour, based on degree program and year of study.

What you will do

• Transform legal operations, vendor spend, budget, and contract data into reporting on trends, risks, opportunities, and performance.
• Use Excel, reporting tools, and AI-enabled capabilities to streamline analysis, improve data quality, and support repeatable reporting.
• Build or enhance dashboards, automated reports, workflows, and analytics for legal spend, contract volume, and operational metrics.
• Improve variance tracking, reduce manual data manipulation, and strengthen reporting consistency.
• Collaborate with Legal Operations, Finance, Procurement, Technology, and other partners on efficiency and cost management.
• Learn departmental systems, data sources, and processes to deliver timely recommendations and project outcomes.

Requirements

• Rising senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or economics.
• Demonstrated analytical project experience and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and clean data organization.
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly for analysis, automation, workflow improvement, and insight generation.
• Collaborative work style, professional judgment, curiosity, and willingness to learn new systems.
• U.S. work authorization is required; employment sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Experience with dashboards, data visualization, workflow automation, AI agents, or contract lifecycle management platforms.
• Interest in applying data, financial knowledge, and technology to improve complex business functions.
