Maintenance Tech I - 3rd Shift

Location: Glens Falls, New York, United States. Onsite role on the 3rd shift, Sunday night through Friday morning, 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.; occasional business travel within and outside the state may be required.

Salary: $26.25–$38.00 per hour. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments on conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment.
• Assemble and test equipment, verify correct operation, and restore malfunctioning production equipment.
• Record maintenance issues, production delays, operating logs, and completed work in CMMS and ticketing systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis of major downtime events and verify corrective actions.
• Support maintenance mechanics with two-person tasks and complete assigned building and facility projects.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, PPE, and other safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment.
• Fundamental understanding of machinery and equipment, with experience troubleshooting inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems.
• Basic proficiency with multiple computer software packages, including Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally; stand for 8–12 hours and work at heights, on ladders, stairs, or in confined positions.
• Willingness to operate material-handling equipment, work overtime and on-call shifts, learn new equipment, and travel up to 10% for business purposes.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or HVAC.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or current trade certification.
• At least 3 years of building maintenance experience in a facility larger than 75,000 square feet.
