Maintenance Technician I (8th Shift) (Medical Manufacturing)

Location: Marion, North Carolina, United States; onsite plant and clean-room work required

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on medical IV solution, filling, and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, variable-frequency drives, servos, robotics, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, sensors, and vision systems.
• Perform unscheduled maintenance, respond to equipment trouble calls, and complete equipment modifications, upgrades, and installations.
• Document maintenance activities, work orders, and procedures in the CMMS while following GDP requirements.
• Support continuous improvement projects and comply with EHS, cGMP, and manufacturing SOP requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school training preferred.
• 1–2 years of maintenance experience with automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with CMMS; Maximo is preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Omron, as well as electrical systems up to 480V three-phase.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical and building drawings, and part diagrams.
• Fluent English and U.S. work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with SCADA, EMS, BMS, Cognex, or Keyence systems.
• Technical school training and experience with high-speed filling, packaging, pick-and-place, or continuous inkjet printing equipment.
