Architect - Personal Insurance Architecture (Insurance)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Annual base salary: $126,500–$208,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Own architecture for a specific segment or domain within a business unit.
• Provide architectural direction on technical patterns and contribute to target-state architecture and technology roadmaps.
• Conduct hands-on prototypes and technology proofs of concept.
• Partner in executing proof-of-technology initiatives and support development teams.
• Support technology modernization and continuous transformation to reduce technical debt.
• Build foundational relationships and encourage stakeholder buy-in.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Four additional years of architecture or software engineering experience.
• Recent hands-on architecture or engineering experience with modern technologies.
• Experience successfully executing technology modernization initiatives.
• Experience working in an agile operating model, with strong analytical, decision-making, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry and understanding of business capability models are preferred.
