Solution Architect (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid, three days per week at a Guardian location in Stamford, CT; Holmdel, NJ; New York, NY; or Bethlehem, PA. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $118,980–$195,465 annually, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Own product- and team-level solution design and delivery architecture within a value stream.
• Design and document application, integration, data, and infrastructure architectures.
• Partner with Product Owners, Tech Leads, business stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, and platform teams on roadmaps, MVP scope, and technical trade-offs.
• Lead proof-of-concepts and provide hands-on guidance on design quality, code structure, and technical approaches.
• Resolve technical dependencies and impediments, reduce technical debt, and improve delivery efficiency.
• Support high-impact production incidents and mentor engineers on architecture and problem-solving.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions, including large-scale business-critical systems in the insurance domain.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, data integration, modern application architectures, and cloud/on-premises hybrid environments.
• Experience working in Agile or product-based delivery models and producing product- and team-level technical design documentation.
• Ability to balance delivery speed, quality, risk, and long-term sustainability.
• Strong communication skills for translating technical concepts to business and delivery stakeholders.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
