Solution Architect, Group Benefits Technology

Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week in New York, NY; Holmdel, NJ; Bethlehem, PA; or Stamford, CT. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $118,980.00–$195,465.00 base pay annually, with potential eligibility for incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Own product- and team-level solution design and delivery architecture within a value stream.
• Design and document application, integration, data, and infrastructure architectures.
• Partner with Product Owners, Tech Leads, business stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, and platform teams to align roadmaps, MVP scope, and technical trade-offs.
• Ensure solutions meet architecture standards, security requirements, scalability goals, and enterprise design patterns.
• Lead proof-of-concepts, resolve technical dependencies and delivery impediments, and provide hands-on guidance on design and technical approaches.
• Mentor engineers, reduce technical debt, improve delivery efficiency, and support major-impact production incidents.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, data integration, and modern application architectures.
• Experience designing hybrid architectures spanning on-premises environments and public cloud platforms.
• Experience operating large-scale, business-critical systems in the insurance domain.
• Experience working in Agile or product-based delivery models and producing product- and team-level technical design documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to balance speed, quality, risk, and long-term sustainability.
