Mechanic (Chemical Manufacturing)

Salary: $58,030–$85,107 per year, plus discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors, engines, piping systems, valves, mixers, tanks, chemical feed systems, motors, and HVAC units.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Respond to maintenance needs and complete assigned projects and repairs.
• Support safe and reliable chemical plant operations under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least three years of relevant maintenance experience required; five years preferred.
• Knowledge of maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment in an industrial or chemical manufacturing environment.
• Strong welding, machining, and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices, including confined-space entry, lockout/tagout, line breaking, hot work, chemical handling, and PPE use.
• Ability to lift and carry materials, walk, bend, climb, work in confined spaces, meet respiratory protection requirements, and support overtime as needed.
