Industrial Electromechanic

Location: West Chicago, Illinois, USA; onsite night shift, 7:00 PM–3:00 AM

Pay: $38.51–$41.15 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, install, troubleshoot, repair, and improve mechanical, electrical, robotic, automation, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems and equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain AC and DC drives and motors, and troubleshoot or modify PLC programs as required.
• Perform equipment failure assessment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions designed to prevent repeat failures.
• Execute and improve preventive and predictive maintenance procedures to reduce unplanned failures.
• Communicate with operations personnel to resolve degraded equipment conditions and support operator asset ownership.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS and maintain safety, housekeeping, and 5S standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated competency in the skills required for the relevant IMRT classification.
• Ability to read mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics, including PLC program logic.
• Experience performing electrical work in compliance with NFPA 70E.
• High school diploma, preferably with a vocational focus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, communication, collaboration, and proactive maintenance skills.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent military experience.
• Welding, machining, and fabrication skills, depending on plant requirements.
• Four or more years of experience in a similar role; level may require 6+, 8+, or 10+ years depending on classification.
