What you will do

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant systems, including high-speed packaging equipment, processing systems, and industrial ovens.
• Perform precision maintenance such as bearing installation, shaft and coupling alignment, gearbox rebuilds, and machine-level adjustments.
• Diagnose root causes, document repairs, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities including vibration analysis, thermal inspections, lubrication, and equipment rebuilds.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V, PLC inputs and outputs, VFDs, motor starters, sensors, relays, and instrumentation.
• Respond to breakdowns, minimize downtime, and collaborate with production, engineering, and leadership to improve reliability.
• Train and mentor Mechanic I personnel while maintaining OSHA, GMP, food safety, and plant safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in continuous manufacturing or food production.
• Advanced experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, drive systems, conveyors, and packaging machinery.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Experience with industrial electrical systems, PLC diagnostics, machine repair, fabrication, welding, machining, and precision alignment.
• Ability to work independently or lead small groups and operate forklifts, hoists, aerial lifts, and other industrial equipment.
