Data Science Initiatives Project Manager (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States, with occasional onsite meetings

Salary: $136,200–$195,061 per year

What you will do

• Lead project management planning, execution, reporting, and closeout for the BioData Catalyst program.
• Coordinate strategic vision, logistics, and delivery activities with scientific and administrative government stakeholders.
• Manage project activities for a cross-functional, matrixed team developing a cloud-based biomedical data ecosystem.
• Support budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, program operations, and compliance with project and contract requirements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, risk management, and ad hoc program reports.
• Identify and mitigate program risks while coordinating meetings, scientific panels, webinars, reviews, and action items.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in project management, health, life sciences, computing, data science, or a related field, or six years of equivalent experience.
• At least two years of progressively responsible program or project management experience in a scientific or technical environment.
• Experience managing scope, schedules, finances, resources, subcontracts, communications, risks, and stakeholders from planning through closeout.
• Experience with budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and collaborative work involving multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Must be available to work remotely within the United States and attend occasional onsite meetings.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in a technical field and PMP certification.
• Eight years of program or project management experience in a scientific or technical environment.
• Experience with multiple government agencies, Other Transaction Authority funding mechanisms, matrix management, or scientific collaborations.
• Familiarity with high-performance computing systems and AI.
