NewsNation News Internship Fall 2026 (Washington, DC)

Location: Washington, DC, United States; onsite

hirify.global operates NewsNation, a national cable news network with editorial, production, programming, business, and technology operations.

What you will do

• Conduct research and pitch news stories.
• Identify prospective guests and support editorial newsgathering.
• Source video from social media and edit video using desktop tools.
• Create graphics and write scripts.
• Shadow editorial positions across programs, bureaus, and production teams.
• Attend trainings and workshops covering the operations of a 24-hour news organization.

Requirements

• Be an undergraduate or graduate student.
• Major in journalism, communications, or a related field such as broadcast journalism, digital and new media studies, marketing, public relations, production, English, social media, or research.
• Be a team player and self-motivated.
• Be able to accept feedback and constructive criticism.
• Be available to work onsite in Washington, DC during the Fall 2026 internship period.
