What you will do

• Edit and refine Press Freedom newsletter copy and social video scripts for clarity, accuracy, and audience engagement.
• Shape a distinct, personality-driven voice that combines news, opinion, and talent-first storytelling.
• Maintain consistent editorial standards across written and visual content.
• Coordinate with newsletter writers, video producers, and the Press Freedom team to meet deadlines.
• Strengthen storytelling, context, relevance, and the reader and viewer experience for diverse audiences.

Requirements

• Demonstrated editing experience, preferably with a news organization or publication.
• Strong writing, copyediting, and storytelling skills across text and short-form video formats.
• Familiarity with newsletter platforms, social video production workflows, and content optimization.
• Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to meet deadlines within limited weekly hours.
• The position averages approximately 5 hours per week and requires a flexible, project-based schedule.

• Interest or background in press freedom, media rights, or international journalism.
