What you will do

• Edit stories across news, features and enterprise for accuracy, clarity, fairness and accessibility.
• Write and refine headlines, summaries and photo captions for digital audiences.
• Program the homepage and app across devices to support a compelling reader experience.
• Work alongside journalists in a fast-moving newsroom environment and meet intense deadlines.

Requirements

• Must be a college junior, senior or graduate student enrolled in a degree program by noon Eastern time on October 9, 2026.
• Strong understanding of style, grammar and sentence structure, with the ability to edit for clarity.
• Ability to work calmly under intense deadlines.
• Commitment to accuracy, clarity and journalistic rigor.
• Submit a résumé, an autobiographical essay of no more than 500 words, and up to six edited news or feature stories with an explanation of the role in each clip.
