Collections Specialist

Location: Kennesaw, Georgia, United States. Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00. The first 90 days must be worked in the office; a hybrid arrangement may be possible after successful training.

What you will do

• Manage daily collection efforts for a portfolio of customer accounts and prioritize work to maximize collection results.
• Lead customer resolution processes and coordinate with internal stakeholders and field contacts.
• Identify credit risks and potential account problems, escalating issues to Accounts Receivable leadership when necessary.
• Investigate billing, pricing, account errors, and discrepancies.
• Maintain customer relationships during collection activities and document communications and follow-up actions.
• Follow up on returned mail and address discrepancies in customer accounts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to research solutions quickly.
• Strong organization, time-management, prioritization, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work in the Kennesaw office for the first 90 days.

Nice to have

• Previous success in collections and ownership of an accounts receivable portfolio.
• Commercial collections experience.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
• Basic Excel experience.
• Spanish bilingual skills.
