Facilities Planner and Scheduler (MedTech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China; limited local travel and occasional regional travel may be required, up to 10%.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for facilities, utilities, and building systems.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate work orders in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Coordinate internal technicians and external vendors to ensure safe, timely, and compliant execution of work.
• Monitor maintenance backlogs, equipment availability, and schedule adherence; identify risks and corrective actions.
• Support shutdowns, changeovers, special projects, and small capital activities through detailed schedules and resource plans.
• Maintain asset data and maintenance records, analyze KPIs, and support audits, inspections, and reliability improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent technical experience may be considered.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in facilities planning, maintenance scheduling, engineering operations, or a similar role.
• Experience with CMMS or maintenance planning systems for work order management and scheduling.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, utilities, and fire protection in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to analyze and report maintenance data.
• Mandarin proficiency is required; working knowledge of English is preferred for global collaboration.

Nice to have

• Facilities experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
• Knowledge of reliability, preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, audits, inspections, or regulatory requirements.
• Basic project coordination experience for facilities or small capital projects.
• Facilities, maintenance, or safety-related certifications.
