What you will do

• Lead purchasing activities for assigned divisions or product categories.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, and vendors to develop, redesign, and launch products.
• Lead cross-functional projects, influence stakeholders, and deliver results on schedule.
• Identify quality risks and improve product costs through production-efficiency initiatives, re-engineering, and material changes.
• Manage vendor relationships, monitor contract compliance, and lead supplier scorecard processes.
• Develop the vendor pool and create sourcing risk-mitigation plans.

Requirements

• Experience leading purchasing activities for product categories or divisions.
• Ability to coordinate product management, engineering, vendors, and other functions.
• Knowledge of product cost improvement, manufacturing efficiency, quality risks, and supplier management.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, provide solutions or escalation, and facilitate effective teamwork.
