Technical Specialist - SRG

Location: Richardson, Texas, United States

Annual base salary: $85,600–$141,200, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Handle moderate to large exposure toxic tort, latent injury, sexual misconduct, and environmental claims.
• Research policies issued by legacy companies, analyze coverage, and communicate coverage positions to policyholders or representatives.
• Investigate claim facts, evaluate liability and damages, and recommend appropriate resolution strategies.
• Manage litigation files, including counsel, experts, mediations, settlement conferences, trials, budgets, and settlement terms.
• Coordinate account communications and reporting while maintaining accurate claim files, financial estimates, and system records.
• Support staff development through training, mentoring, and interviewing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; a high school diploma or GED is required at minimum.
• At least 2 years of experience in claim handling, legal, insurance, coverage advice, or environmental fields; 3+ years is preferred for the broader experience profile.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, judgment, decision-making, teamwork, accountability, and customer focus.
• Knowledge of regulatory and claims environments, planning, organization, relationship management, and independent work.
• Insurance license acquisition and maintenance may be required, generally within three months of starting.
