Senior Research Development Officer

What you will do

• Lead large-scale research development initiatives across system member institutions.
• Draft, edit, and refine proposal narratives for federal, foundation, and industry sponsors.
• Collaborate with faculty and research leaders to communicate research impact, innovation, and broader impacts.
• Review proposals for sponsor compliance and evaluation criteria while maintaining quality assurance processes.
• Develop boilerplate content, institutional descriptions, white papers, concept papers, and strategic research communications.
• Coordinate proposal timelines and deliver writing workshops and grantsmanship training.

Requirements

• Master's degree.
• At least four years of experience in grant writing, scientific editing, or research communications.
• Demonstrated success with funded federal proposals.
• Exceptional writing, editing, project management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, multitask, and collaborate effectively.
• Restricted to U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents. Employment is subject to a criminal history investigation and verification of credentials.
