Maintenance Shop Diesel Technician B (Diesel)

Location: Midland, TX, USA; onsite fleet maintenance role

What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks, refuse bodies, chassis, and related equipment.
• Service hydraulic, electrical, air-brake, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and light engine systems.
• Diagnose multi-system malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance, line-maintenance welding, and fabrication.
• Provide safe road service to return company equipment to operation.
• Complete required company training and support drivers operating their routes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of technician experience diagnosing and repairing gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment, or graduation from an accredited automotive college or technical school within three months.
• Experience or knowledge with light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks, aircraft, or ships.
• Ability to inspect and diagnose systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, suspension, steering, and diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• ASE T1–T8 certifications and a commercial driver’s license are advantageous but not required.
