Shop Mechanic (Heavy Duty Trucks)

Location: Midland, TX, United States; onsite shop role with a 14/7 shift and 12+ hour workdays that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Diagnose, maintain, repair, and inspect tractor trailers, units, commercial vehicles, and hydraulic fracturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot engines, fuel systems, HVAC, brakes, lighting, 12V systems, air brake systems, and aftertreatment equipment.
• Repair power ends and fluid ends, including seals, packing, injectors, rods, crossheads, valves, and related components.
• Use diagnostic tools, software, wiring diagrams, manufacturer specifications, and torque sequences to complete repairs.
• Program CPC, MCM, and ACM modules and resolve derates and fault codes related to aftertreatment systems.
• Perform inspections, cleaning, lubrication, housekeeping, safe vehicle and equipment operation, and detailed maintenance documentation.

Requirements

• Experience maintaining tractor trailers, electrical systems, commercial vehicles, power ends, and fluid ends.
• Current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to safely drive company vehicles in varied road and weather conditions.
• Forklift operator certification or willingness to complete approved forklift training, and air brake certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical or associate degree is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of DETROIT DDDL, Cat ET, Cummins InSite, Microsoft Office 365, and related work software.
• Ability to read English-language diagrams, blueprints, manufacturer instructions, and specifications, and safely perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 lbs.
