Shop Mechanic

Location: Midland, Texas, United States. Full-time onsite role with a 14/7 shift, including 12+ hour days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Diagnose, maintain, repair, and inspect tractor trailers, hydraulic fracturing units, engines, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot engines, aftertreatment and one-box systems, fuel systems, HVAC, brakes, lighting, 12V systems, and air-brake systems.
• Repair and replace power-end and fluid-end components, including seals, packing, valves, injectors, pony rods, crossheads, and gaskets.
• Program CPC, MCM, and ACM modules and use diagnostic software to test engine performance and fuel systems.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, manufacturer specifications, blueprints, and repair instructions to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
• Perform inspections, lubrication, equipment cleaning, maintenance documentation, forklift and hoist operations, and HSE-related duties.

Requirements

• Experience maintaining tractor trailers, commercial vehicles, electrical systems, power ends, and fluid ends.
• Proficient use of DETROIT DDDL, Cat ET, Cummins InSite, and other diagnostic tools.
• Air-brake certification, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and forklift certification or willingness to complete approved training.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or associate degree preferred.
• Ability to work a 14/7 shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and 12+ hour workdays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, lift 25 pounds overhead, operate equipment safely, and perform physically demanding work on uneven surfaces, ladders, and stairs.
