Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Modernization Engineer

Location: Louisville, Colorado; must be local to the work location. Flexible for occasional telework.

Projected compensation: $124,321.85–$216,171.58 per year.

What you will do

• Administer and stabilize primarily Linux-based virtualized infrastructure, including legacy Red Hat Enterprise Linux and VMware platforms.
• Manage enterprise backup, retention, disaster recovery, and backup integrity validation.
• Maintain Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Linux/Windows interoperability.
• Assess aging infrastructure, develop cloud migration strategies, and recommend architecture, security, and automation improvements.
• Act as the senior technical escalation point, establish operational practices and documentation, and mentor junior technical staff.
• Support vulnerability remediation, infrastructure hardening, incident response, and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 10–12 years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience and a Bachelor of Science degree.
• Deep experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including legacy Linux environments.
• Experience with VMware virtualization and enterprise backup or disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Proven experience leading infrastructure modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
• Strong systems analysis, troubleshooting, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Automation experience with Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, or Python.
• Experience supporting operational technology, scientific, or engineering environments.
• RHCSA/RHCE, VMware, Microsoft, or relevant cloud certifications.
