Sr. Systems Engineer 2 (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid; based at an hirify.global corporate office in the United States, including Philadelphia, Kenneth Square, Baltimore, Chicago, Oakbrook Terrace, Oak Brook, Washington, Newark, or Carneys Point.

Salary: $117,600–$161,700 per year, plus a 15% annual bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Design, implement, support, and document complex infrastructure, cloud, non-cloud, and hybrid-cloud systems.
• Gather system requirements, conduct feasibility analysis, and create system specifications, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.
• Configure, troubleshoot, monitor, optimize, and integrate systems across enterprise platforms.
• Develop migration strategies, resource plans, project schedules, technical presentations, and emerging-technology recommendations.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, financial impacts, and cost-optimization opportunities.
• Coach system engineers, lead peer code reviews, and supervise interns and apprentices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Networking, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in IT infrastructure design, application design, cloud computing, disaster recovery, or 6–9 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with system administration, enterprise hybrid-cloud environments, server and network infrastructure, operating systems, virtualization, storage, security protocols, and backup solutions.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Ansible, or another scripting tool, including independently creating, modifying, and troubleshooting automation, reporting, and monitoring scripts.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as AppDynamics and Datadog; experience with Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing or similar systems using WebLogic, Java, and Groovy.
• Ability to solve complex problems, communicate mission-critical information to senior leaders, influence across teams, and apply project management and financial analysis principles.
