Automation Technician - Mechatronics/Robotics - 1st Shift (Robotics)

Location: Dodge Center, Minnesota, United States; onsite, 1st shift

Pay range: $22–$31.20 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, repair, start up, and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment.
• Work with PLCs, automation controllers, HMIs, hardware, and programming languages including Ladder Logic, FBD, SFC, and Structured Text.
• Configure and troubleshoot industrial device networks using Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Modbus, HART, DH+/485, and ASCII.
• Conduct equipment inspections, audits, predictive maintenance, and maintenance planning.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and communicate professionally with operations.
• Follow safety procedures and good manufacturing practices while working independently and with the maintenance team.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED plus formal trades training or an equivalent combination of education and maintenance experience.
• At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electricity and motor controls, controls and instrumentation, PLC software and hardware, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with system analysis and troubleshooting.
• Ability to follow safe work practices and demonstrate safety leadership.

Nice to have

• Basic computer skills.
• Certification or a degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance, or a related technical course.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation, Siemens, GE, Horner, or Opto22 platforms.
