Automation Technician (PLC/Robotics)

Location: Anoka, Minnesota, United States; onsite weekend shift with three 12-hour shifts

Compensation: $23.90–$44.40 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies on sophisticated automation equipment.
• Support the design, implementation, and integration of automated manufacturing and assembly lines.
• Work with Automation Engineers on capital planning, equipment acquisition, implementation, and validation.
• Document mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic alterations and additions throughout equipment development.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel and provide the skills and documentation needed to maintain factory equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience with two years of engineering or technical experience in manufacturing, or a preferred two-year technical college diploma or AAS degree.
• Proficiency reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, including redlining schematics for updates.
• Experience wiring electrical control panels, remote actuators, inputs and outputs, and plumbing, pneumatic, or hydraulic lines.
• Experience onboarding and validating new equipment before introduction to the production floor.
• Ability to diagnose and repair machine faults and minor issues, including PLC/HMI and industrial robotics equipment.
• Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB, or Fanuc systems.
