What you will do

• Develop and architect scalable, robust, and efficient software solutions.
• Analyze problems, optimize implementations, and design efficient algorithms and data structures.
• Contribute to software modernization and legacy codebase improvements.
• Collaborate across disciplines in a semi-Agile development environment.
• Support continuous improvement, DevOps practices, and workflow planning.
• Communicate and present complex technical solutions to diverse audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of experience, master’s degree with 3–5 years, or PhD with 0–2 years in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, C++, or C#.
• Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL and SQLite and ORM frameworks.
• Knowledge of software modernization techniques, debugging, performance optimization, and best practices.
• Experience with semi-Agile or Agile development methods, including Sprints, Scrum, or Kanban.

Nice to have

• Advanced knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit, pytest, or xUnit/NUnit.
• Experience with FORTRAN, C++, Python, or C# and modernization of legacy codebases.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and tools for building scalable, distributed systems.
• Active Top Secret clearance.
