Vice President, Commercial Data & AI (AI)

Location: Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week on-site and 2 days remote in Titusville, New Jersey, with consideration for Raritan, New Jersey, and Horsham, Pennsylvania. Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required; no fully remote option.

Base pay range: $218,000–$401,350 USD per year.

What you will do

• Set and execute the commercial data, data science, and AI strategy across launch excellence, sales and marketing, medical affairs, market access, patient engagement, and commercial operations.
• Translate business challenges into prioritized portfolios, business cases, multi-year roadmaps, and measurable value outcomes.
• Advance predictive, generative, and agentic AI solutions into production, including retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation, guardrails, orchestration, observability, and LLMOps/MLOps.
• Lead the commercial AI Core, reusable AI-ready data products, semantic and AI-context layers, core data platforms, and master data management.
• Embed responsible AI, privacy, security, governance, explainability, auditability, and human-in-the-loop controls for a regulated environment.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary organization of more than 80 technology, data, and AI professionals while driving adoption and change enablement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, AI/ML, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline; an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience delivering data, analytics, and AI solutions at scale, including measurable business impact.
• 10+ years leading and scaling multidisciplinary technical organizations of typically 50+ professionals and managing significant operating and capital investment.
• Deep understanding of machine learning and large language models, with architecture experience across data, software engineering, cloud platforms, AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Demonstrated success taking generative and agentic AI solutions to production, including evaluation, testing, RAG, prompt and workflow engineering, monitoring, drift management, reliability, and incident response.
• Strong portfolio leadership, executive communication, responsible AI, data privacy, governance, and compliance experience in regulated environments.

Nice to have

• Commercial pharmaceutical or healthcare experience across sales and marketing, omnichannel engagement, medical affairs, market access, or commercial operations.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms, master data management, AI-ready data products, reusable AI platforms, and agentic ecosystems.
• Experience managing external vendors, systems integrators, hyperscalers, and consulting partners across a buy/borrow/build model.
• Thought leadership in data science and AI through speaking, publications, or advisory roles.
