Sr Director Head of Data Science Services (AI)

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States; full-time onsite position with up to 10% domestic and international travel

Base pay: $196,000–$342,700 per year

What you will do

• Define and evolve the enterprise HR data science strategy, including quantitative research, statistical modeling, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
• Lead teams building predictive, diagnostic, and prescriptive models for people analytics, workforce planning, and HR workflow automation.
• Own employee listening programs and translate listening insights into prioritized actions for HR leaders, business partners, and digital product teams.
• Establish an enterprise HR knowledge management strategy for structured and unstructured knowledge.
• Embed models, knowledge, and insights into HR workflows, products, and employee-facing experiences.
• Define responsible AI standards and partner with Legal, Data Governance, HR AI, and Technology teams on privacy, regulatory, fairness, and ethical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in data science, advanced analytics, or people analytics within a complex, matrixed organization.
• Deep expertise in quantitative research methods, statistical modeling, applied machine learning, and operationalizing models for business use.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across analytics, listening, and insight generation.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for senior leaders and influence executive stakeholders.
• Experience with or familiarity with Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Workday, Snowflake, AWS, and cloud-based data platforms is preferred.

• Experience modernizing continuous or passive employee listening programs.
• Experience building or scaling knowledge management or unstructured data capabilities.
• Experience implementing responsible AI, ethical analytics, or model governance frameworks in an HR or workforce context.
• Experience operating in a global environment with regional, cultural, and regulatory sensitivity.
