What you will do

• Design and integrate advanced AI/ML models and statistical algorithms into shared data platforms.
• Develop and optimize robust data pipelines and automated ETL/ELT workflows for enterprise-level data.
• Enforce data governance standards, security controls, and federal baselines (DISA STIGs).
• Deliver secure and reusable data products to empower decision-support applications.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to reduce technical debt and ensure system resilience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, port authorities, and commercial partners for data interoperability.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, or CCNA Security).
• Experience developing and deploying enterprise ML models and data science solutions using Python.
• Proven track record of building large-scale data pipelines or cloud-based analytical environments.
• Proficiency in SQL and modern big data technologies to manipulate complex datasets.
• Strong understanding of data governance practices and secure data management.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard, DHS, or federal maritime mission programs.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or Azure Data Scientist Associate.
• Knowledge of GIS and integrating spatial modeling into enterprise applications.
• Understanding of MLOps, containerized deployment (Kubernetes/Docker), and automated security gating.
