Salary: $117,000–$201,250 annual base pay

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end AI applications on CT, MRI, and PET data from oncology clinical trials.
  • Develop quantitative imaging measures and AI-derived endpoints for response assessment, dose optimization, and clinical go/no-go decisions.
  • Conduct hands-on research in automated segmentation, radiomics, and multimodal predictive modeling.
  • Translate complex imaging evidence into clear scientific narratives for data science, clinical development, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead external partnerships with imaging AI vendors, CROs, biomarker companies, academic centers, and imaging OEMs.
  • Publish and present scientific innovations at leading scientific and clinical conferences.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • At least 3 years of post-doctoral or industry experience developing AI/ML for medical imaging in a clinical setting.
  • Hands-on expertise in deep learning for segmentation, detection, classification, and registration, as well as radiomics and multimodal predictive modeling.
  • Proficiency in Python and PyTorch, with experience using medical-imaging libraries including MONAI, SimpleITK, ITK, PyRadiomics, nnU-Net, 3D Slicer, and OpenCV.
  • Experience with cloud ML infrastructure, MLOps, and the full DICOM-based imaging workflow, including visualization, registration, harmonization, annotation, and 3D segmentation.
  • Strong peer-reviewed publication record and ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to technical and cross-functional audiences.

Nice to have

  • Experience with solid-tumor imaging, especially lung and head and neck oncology.
  • Experience applying AI/ML to oncology imaging and clinical trials.
  • Familiarity with RECIST 1.1, iRECIST, and PERCIST endpoints.
  • Experience scaling clinical or imaging AI platforms from data ingestion through monitoring.
  • Experience managing partnerships with imaging AI vendors, CROs, imaging core labs, biomarker companies, and academic centers.
