Estimated starting salary: $113,428.57–$155,964.28 per year, plus performance-based annual incentive pay.

What you will do

  • Lead the development, application, and maintenance of quality control systems for materials, assemblies, and finished aircraft modification products.
  • Provide direct oversight of receiving inspection, machining and metal forming, structural and electronic assembly, and aircraft-level avionics and structural inspection personnel.
  • Serve as the designated FOD Manager under DCMA Instruction 8210 and oversee aircraft induction and return-to-service activities.
  • Lead complex inspections, testing, audits, discrepancy documentation, configuration verification, and records review.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and ensure deviations meet reliability and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and management teams while mentoring quality assurance staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience; without a degree, 13 years of related experience is required.
  • 9+ years of progressive product assurance experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, DCMA, and government quality requirements.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, parts lists, and test procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA 14 CFR requirements for airworthiness, maintenance, inspection, and conformity to approved design data.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Manufacturing, aerospace, or defense industry experience and quality assurance certification such as ASQ.
  • Knowledge of FAA 14 CFR Parts 145 and 21, including repair station, PMA, STC, conformity inspection, and return-to-service requirements.
  • Proficiency with IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 for avionics, electronic equipment, and cable harness assemblies.
  • Experience with NDT dye penetrant inspection, ASTM E1417, SAE AS3071, chemical conversion coating under MIL-DTL-5541, and aircraft weight and balance.
