Principal Supplier Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Implement and maintain supplier quality processes and documentation in accordance with AS9100.
• Work with engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure supplier compliance with quality, customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage supplier qualification, performance reviews, relationships, risk assessments, and approved supplier status.
• Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers, including design-for-manufacturability support.
• Investigate supplier nonconformances, support rework, scrap, and RMA dispositions, and drive SCAR resolution.
• Analyze supplier performance metrics, conduct site audits and source inspections, and implement continuous improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or a related technical field.
• At least 9 years of supplier quality experience in the aerospace and defense industries.
• Experience managing suppliers for space-grade machining, PCBs, PCBAs, integrated assemblies, and testing.
• Experience with certified quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
• Expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
