Senior Engineer II-Quality (Aerospace)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite role. Travel requirement is 0%–25%. Candidates must meet US Person export-control requirements.

Annual base salary: $70,304–$205,000 USD, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Review customer requirements against existing procedures and process flows, recommending necessary changes.
• Lead corrective action activities, perform root cause analysis, prepare 8-D reports, and follow up with customers.
• Monitor and audit hi-rel processes, conduct spot inspections, and report monthly and quarterly quality metrics.
• Manage reliability programs, including planning, execution, product testing, coordination, and periodic report updates.
• Perform final quality control inspections and prepare Certificates of Conformance as backup support.
• Coordinate customer questionnaires, internal audits, and cross-functional resolution of customer or supplier issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or an equivalent field.
• 7.5+ years of related experience in semiconductor manufacturing design or processing and quality assurance.
• Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and familiarity with semiconductor materials manufacturing.
• Technical proficiency with component specifications, qualifications, reliability summaries, yield, Cpk, AVL, BOMs, and military/hi-rel requirements.
• Experience with quality tools including PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and FMEDA, with in-depth understanding of AS9100.
• Must qualify as a US Person by providing proof of US citizenship, permanent US residency, or protected-individual status under US export-control regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with FPGA and ASIC products.
• Experience performing final QC inspections, data-pack preparation, and Certificates of Conformance.
