What you will do

• Produce newscasts for broadcast across all platforms.
• Write, order, and approve news stories and scripts.
• Make rapid adjustments for breaking news, weather, and traffic.
• Balance news and feature content using strong writing, sound, video, and graphic elements.
• Edit video and write stories for the website and other eMedia platforms.
• Interact with viewers and users on social media.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Fluent English and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• At least two years of experience in news operations, depending on market size.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment.
• Flexibility to work any shift onsite in Columbus, Ohio.
