Electrician - Pier IX

What you will do

• Install, maintain, modify, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic systems and components supporting terminal operations.
• Test wiring, equipment, and fixtures for compatibility, continuity, and safe operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance, routine troubleshooting, emergency call-outs, and general equipment and tool upkeep.
• Train personnel on the proper operation and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and document unusual conditions, repairs, maintenance activities, and required records.
• Identify and correct safety and environmental concerns while following company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a two-year degree or certification in electrical maintenance or instrumentation, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of demonstrated experience in instrumentation or electrical work.
• Working knowledge of high-, medium-, and low-voltage power systems, instrumentation, control devices, and EH&S and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read electrical and instrumentation diagrams and use power tools, hand tools, and measuring equipment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC and hold a journeyman's electrical license.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work at elevated levels with fall protection, lift up to 50 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors in all weather; availability for all shifts, weekends, overtime, and 24/7 emergency response is required.

Nice to have

• Experience performing electrical repairs on Gottwald cranes.
