Electrical and Instrument Technician

Location: Onsite in Kapolei, Hawaii, USA; must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift.

Salary: $39.86–$53.08 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair low- and medium-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, motor starters, transformers, generators, and switchyard equipment.
• Perform electrical maintenance on boilers, pumps, fans, motors, conveyors, refuse cranes, and air pollution control systems.
• Diagnose and repair CEMS equipment and flow, pressure, temperature, level, and flue-gas instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot and maintain distributed control systems and historian devices.
• Perform calibration, thermography, ultrasonic testing, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Support plant shutdowns, complete maintenance records and required training, and maintain safe, clean work areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, work at heights and in confined spaces, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to wear a full-face respirator and work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow safety, compliance, and maintenance procedures in a power plant environment.
