Instructional Design Librarian (Assistant or Associate) (e-Learning)

Salary: $62,900 annually for Assistant Librarian or $72,335 annually for Associate Librarian

What you will do

• Develop and maintain online tutorials and learning initiatives using Canvas, Articulate 360, and multimedia technologies.
• Design multimedia instructional content including video tutorials, interactive modules, infographics, and other digital learning objects.
• Apply accessibility standards and evidence-based pedagogical practices to digital learning experiences.
• Collaborate with librarians, faculty, staff, subject matter experts, and university units to support information literacy and student success.
• Assess and improve online instruction and virtual learning for distance learners.
• Monitor emerging online learning technologies and recommend new tools or services to library leadership.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Library Science.
• For the Assistant Librarian level, no prior experience is required.
• For the Associate Librarian level, five years of related experience are required.
• Experience or coursework in tutorial program implementation, accessibility standards including WCAG and ADA, and educational online learning is valued.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and communicate effectively with customers and employees.
• Applicants must be prepared to work on-site in College Station, Texas.

Nice to have

• Experience in academic, school, or special libraries.
• Online portfolio demonstrating examples of online learning development; coursework examples are acceptable.
• Experience with Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, H5P, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, Vyond, or equivalent tools.
