Research & Instruction Librarian

What you will do

• Coordinate and assess the university's information literacy and multi-literacy programs, including student learning outcomes.
• Provide general and discipline-specific research assistance to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff.
• Plan and deliver library instruction, classes, workshops, and print and online learning materials.
• Integrate information literacy into courses, curricula, and the learning management system.
• Serve as a subject librarian and primary contact for early college high school students.
• Collaborate on collection development, engagement activities, assessment, and university committees.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to a changing library environment, and work evenings, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to move medium-weight library materials and handle dust or microscopic mold spores.

Nice to have

• One or more years of post-MLS experience in academic library research, reference, or instruction services.
• Experience with e-learning technologies, digital learning materials, instructional design, universal design, and active learning.
• Experience with LMS platforms such as D2L, Blackboard, or Canvas and technologies including artificial intelligence, augmented reality, or gamification.
• Experience applying ADA guidelines, the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education, and assessing library services.
