Instructional Designer II (Educational Technology)

What you will do

• Establish, implement, and communicate course development standards, policies, and quality expectations with instructional design leaders and academic stakeholders.
• Partner with faculty to develop and enhance online courses for adult learners across academic and non-credit programs.
• Edit and structure digital content and coordinate the production of videos, graphics, animations, interactive media, and other instructional assets.
• Build instructional materials in Canvas and collaborate with instructional design, technology, development, and media specialists.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews, coordinate course approvals, and manage review cycles, redevelopments, milestones, and production timelines.
• Mentor Instructional Designers I and contribute to research, professional development, training, conferences, and presentations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and online learning experience development.
• Experience collaborating with faculty, academic leaders, instructional designers, technologists, and other cross-functional partners.
• Strong organizational, project coordination, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Familiarity with learning management systems, particularly Canvas, and digital instructional technologies.
• Ability to work remotely while based in the United States.

• Experience mentoring colleagues or supporting professional development.
• Interest in educational research, conference participation, professional training, and presenting on instructional design topics.
