Senior Manager, Financial Reporting (Financial Services)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; at least four days per week in the office and one day working from home

Base salary: $114,500–$157,400 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly regulatory filings and SEC disclosures for Ameriprise Bank and hirify.global.
• Manage Bank Holding Company filings, including FR Y-9C, FR Y-9LP, FR Y-12, capital calculations, and related submissions.
• Review monthly and quarterly reporting schedules, accounting journal entries, technical reporting research, and financial statement analyses.
• Assess the financial and regulatory reporting impact of initiatives, product launches, and complex transactions.
• Design and monitor internal controls over financial reporting and coordinate reviews with internal auditors.
• Provide work direction and thought leadership to accountants while prioritizing workflow and reporting deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least seven years of external or regulatory reporting experience in a financial services company.
• Ability to lead through change, solve problems, and manage detailed work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Bank regulatory reporting experience.
• CPA certification.
• Experience leading and developing staff.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory guidance.
• Ability to explain complex accounting and reporting matters to leadership and business partners.
