Plant Technician Operator

Location: Chester, VA, United States; onsite plant operations

Salary: $26–$30 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Operate and steward equipment used in air separation, vacuum swing absorption, and carbon dioxide plants.
• Perform routine care, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical plant equipment.
• Support plant startups, team training, and coverage for other production team members.
• Maintain optimal plant production while following safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 2–3 years of industrial plant or cryogenic plant experience preferred.
• Understanding of control valve functions and systems used to control flows and pressures on industrial tanks.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment in a plant environment.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating day and night schedule at the Chester plant.

Nice to have

• Air separation plant or related industrial experience.
• Understanding of water treatment principles and equipment.
• Basic understanding of refrigeration systems and air separation technologies.
• Electrical or instrumentation experience or interest.
