Plant Operator - Renewable Natural Gas (Prince William)

Location: Manassas, Virginia, United States; onsite plant operations required

Pay: $33.00–$36.00 per hour, with a bonus for eligible positions

What you will do

• Operate, adjust, and repair equipment to maximize renewable natural gas production and minimize downtime.
• Inspect flow meters, gas chromatographs, fluid levels, pressure and temperature readings, and other operating equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on valves, blowers, compressors, pumps, filters, and related plant equipment.
• Maintain production records, equipment logs, service schedules, inventory, cleanliness, and site organization.
• Respond to callouts, diagnose operating issues, and coordinate escalation with the area manager when needed.
• Adjust landfill gas wells and support wellfield maintenance, virtual pipeline compressors, and truck filling operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Mechanical skills, troubleshooting ability, and working knowledge of pressure, vacuum, and flow.
• Experience with pumps, blowers, or air compressors; gas reciprocating or screw compressor experience is helpful.
• Ability to maintain detailed records, read and write well, and use Microsoft Office.
• Current and valid unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 10–50 pounds, walk on irregular surfaces, and perform occasional stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crouching.
