Vision Center Manager NL 1 (Optical)

Location: Onsite at 2044 Forest Ave, Chico, California, United States

Hourly wage: $33.50–$43.50 per hour, plus potential performance-based bonuses.

Company

Walmart operates the Vision Center within its retail business, providing eyewear and optical services to customers and members.

What you will do

• Drive Vision Center sales through merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, inventory availability, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Supervise, hire, train, mentor, assign duties to, and recognize Vision Center Associates.
• Provide customer service by consulting on eyewear, selecting products, taking measurements, verifying prescriptions, and resolving customer concerns.
• Maintain confidential information and records, perform minor frame repairs, and maintain optical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, safety controls, asset protection standards, and quality assurance requirements.
• Build community relationships, coordinate business initiatives, measure performance, and implement improvement plans.

Requirements

• Completion of two or more years of college, or qualifying combinations of retail, supervisory, general work, and optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and rules.
• Experience with optical services, customer service, supervision, or retail operations as applicable to the qualifying pathway.

Nice to have

• Experience supervising Associates.
