General Manager - Optical

Location: Bristol, VA 24202, United States. Full-time, store-based position.

What you will do

• Oversee daily store operations, including staffing, inventory, bookkeeping, planning, and policy enforcement.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop associates while building a strong team environment.
• Manage store sales, profitability, budgets, supplies, merchandising, and promotional initiatives.
• Monitor performance and ensure high-quality customer and patient experiences.
• Partner with the Doctor to support patient care and conduct store audits.
• Recruit and retain talent, create schedules, provide performance feedback, and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• 5+ years of retail experience.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and build strong associate relationships.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for customer service and sales performance.
• Solid understanding of store operations and business performance.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of the optical industry.
