Deputy Field Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Washington, D.C.; travel across the United States as needed

What you will do

• Assist the Program Manager in leading and coordinating field-based contract personnel.
• Oversee daily operations and performance across multiple geographically distributed sites.
• Assume full Program Manager responsibilities during the Program Manager’s absence.
• Coordinate stakeholder communications and maintain alignment with program goals and service standards.
• Monitor compliance with contract requirements, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
• Identify risks, resolve operational issues, and support workforce planning, training, and performance management.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience managing programs or organizations of comparable scope and complexity.
• Management experience in an Air Traffic Control facility or a comparable operational environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, or at least 15 years of relevant management experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong leadership, team management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing field operations and supporting program governance and performance.
• PMP certification is required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal contracts or public-sector programs.
• Familiarity with aviation or transportation operations.
• Knowledge of contract compliance, operational risk, and field-based service delivery models.
